South Shore Mental Health Center
strives to provide programs and services to individuals and
families living in Washington County who are experiencing
an emotional or behavioral problem. We focus on providing
programs and services that address a full range of mental
health needs. Our programs and services are designed to provide
help and support to adults, seniors, adolescents, children
and families. We provide the highest quality of care to our
clients and work to insure that they receive the support
needed to live a life full of health, hope and happiness.
Each year, South
Shore Mental Health Center serves over 1700 adults who are
diagnosed with a mental health illness. The Center offers
a wide range of adult programs and services to help an individual
learn to understand and cope with their illness. Listed
below are the programs and services targeted to help adults
receive the highest quality of care available in South County.
Imagine being a
child or young adult and experiencing a mental illness.
It can be a frightening time in a child’s life. The
goal of our Child, Adolescent & Family Services Program
is to provide help and support to children and families facing
these difficult challenges. Listed below are programs and
services aimed at helping children with emotional and behavioral
problems.
The South Shore
School is one of the oldest private entities providing an
alternative school setting for children who have emotional
and behavioral problems living in Washington County. The
School has been very successful working with all of the
school districts in Washington County to ensure that each
and every child receives a quality education and has access
to the help and support needed to cope with their emotional
and behavioral challenges.
